Juanita Houston and I visited 'The Geek Tank' at the studios of KISS FM 101.9 this morning for the taping of the next episode. Thanks to our publisher, Allan Gilbreath, we were invited in to talk a bit about Malice in Memphis Mystery Writers Group and our third anthology, Elmwood: Stories To Die For, now available on Amazon in all formats and at local bookstores BookStop plus and Novel.
While there, we were forced, and I mean forced, twisted arms and all (JK) to taste test desert quesadilla's. We tried Kit Kat quesadilla's, I passed on the Reese's cup one cuz I'm not a fan of chocolate and peanut butter, hey don't judge, but I did enjoy the milk and dark chocolate ones the best. An interesting take, and proof you can put anything in a tortilla. Give it a try at home. I dare ya.
Last weekend, we roped Allan into helping the Malice Retreat Committee in shooting a short film for our writer's retreat next weekend. We decided what better way to kick off our Mystery Writers weekend, than to have an interactive mystery for our members to try and solve. And it's a good one. He was our willing victim, and once we ironed out the skit, we got it done in one take. I can't wait to reveal at the retreat next weekend.
If you are in the Memphis area, are a writer, or interested in becoming a writer, I invite you to join us. You can learn more at www.maliceinmemphis.com. We have a whole weekend of fun and informative programming to offer.
Malice will be at BookStop Plus in Bartlett tomorrow, Saturday, October 28 from 11 to 2 for our first signing for Elmwood: Stories To Die For. Stop by if in the area and meet our talented writers and pick up a copy of our latest anthology. Hope to see you there!
